Google API Services User Data Disclosure
RankYourApp's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, RankYourApp:
- Only uses Google user data to provide and improve user-facing features of the application.
- Does not transfer Google user data to third parties unless it is necessary to provide or improve user-facing features, the user provides affirmative consent, or it is required for security or legal compliance purposes.
- Does not use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
- Does not sell Google user data to third parties, advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
- Does not use Google user data to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
- Does not use Google user data to train non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- Does not allow humans to read Google user data unless the user has provided affirmative agreement, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by applicable law.
Google Analytics Integration
RankYourApp offers optional integration with Google Analytics to display verified visitor traffic data for your app's listing. This section describes how we access, use, store, and share Google user data when you connect your Google Analytics account.
What Google Data We Access
When you connect your Google Analytics account, we request read-only access to your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) properties. We only access:
- List of GA4 properties associated with your Google account.
- Aggregate visitor counts (active users) over time.
- Session data aggregated by time period.
We do not access any personally identifiable information (PII) from your Google Analytics account, including individual user data, demographics, or any other sensitive information.
How We Use Google Data
The Google Analytics data we access is used solely for:
- Displaying verified visitor traffic metrics on your app's RankYourApp listing page.
- Showing traffic trends and growth metrics to visitors of your listing.
- Providing period-over-period comparisons of visitor data.
How We Store Google Data
When you connect your Google Analytics account:
- OAuth Tokens: We store your Google OAuth access token and refresh token in encrypted form in our database. These tokens are used to fetch analytics data on your behalf.
- Property Information: We store the GA4 property ID and display name you selected during connection.
- Analytics Data: We do not permanently store the visitor data retrieved from Google Analytics. Data is fetched on-demand and cached temporarily for performance.
Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure of Google Data
We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your Google user data to any third parties.
Your Google Analytics data is:
- Displayed publicly: Aggregate visitor metrics (total visitors, traffic trends) are displayed on your app's public RankYourApp listing page, as authorized by you when connecting the integration.
- Never sold: We never sell your Google data to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.
- Never used for advertising: We do not use your Google data for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.
- Never shared with third-party services: Your Google OAuth tokens and analytics data are not shared with any external services, partners, or affiliates.
The only exception is if we are legally required to disclose data by law enforcement or regulatory authorities pursuant to valid legal process.
Revoking Google Access
You can disconnect your Google Analytics integration at any time from your RankYourApp dashboard. When you disconnect:
- We immediately delete your stored OAuth tokens from our database.
- We revoke the OAuth access with Google.
- Visitor data will no longer be displayed on your listing.
- Any cached analytics data is discarded.
You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions page.
